This summer I had a burst of alt country flavored song writing energy, and in two weeks I cranked out about ten embryonic song ideas/ structures. Then I headed over to Jeff's house. He Drums for our band First in Maths, and after an hour setup I tracked us jamming along to my tunes. Two hours later we had drums tracks for six songs! He is fast, and our styles gel quickly, so this was fun and easy. He also pushed a number of the songs in unexpected yet excellent directions. After that, I spent a few weeks layering instruments. Then I was stuck - no vocals! So, I put out a lot of Craigslist posts and after running though a couple different singers I found the super talented Meeta Gajjar Parker, who is good, fast, and motivated! Over the next couple months she sent me vocal tracks to each song. This week I finally finished mixing, remixing, and then mastering them all into this ep. We like it...I hope you do too!
